Loomis Gang Country tours at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon and
1:30 p.m., $8 per seat. First paid basis. Call 841-4018.
Room, Sangerfield Room and Hop Cellar exhibits will be open.
Hall will be a Civil War 1863 exhibit. Also, relax and enjoy a cup of
coffee and a donut from 8:30 a.m. for $1.50. A silent auction will be held
with several baskets. The drawing will be at 3 p.m. Purchase a yard of
tickets for $5.00. The society is asking members to donate a basket
suitable for the auction. Two or more members may wish to work on a basket
together. Baskets may be brought to the society on Wednesday, Aug. 7 from
10-4 or on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. There will be an old fashioned bake
sale of pies, brownies, cookies, cakes, breads, muffins, fudge and more.
Bakers please bring baked goods on Saturday at 8 a.m. Call Carol Sambora
at 841-8295 for additional information. Soda, water and popcorn will be
available for $1.00 each.
A chicken barbecue (under the tent by the Main
Street entrance) will start at 11 a.m. until sold out. The barbecue
includes half chicken, salt potatoes, cole slaw, roll/butter, watermelon
and soda or water. A hot dog meal for $5.00 will also be available. That
meal includes a Hoffman hot dog/bun, chips, watermelon and soda or water.
The gift shoppe will also be open. Time to get your mugs,
t-shirts, magnets, honey, maple syrup, coloring books, postcards, etc.
